Munich's official 2025 Mietspiegel reports an average net cold rent of €15.38 per square metre for the housing stock covered by that survey; it is a reference-rent instrument, not a promise about the asking price of a particular new listing. Add the advertised Nebenkosten and confirm the total fits your budget.

If a cash deposit is required, section 551 of the German Civil Code caps it at three months' rent excluding operating costs and allows payment in three monthly instalments. For the application itself, use the requested form and keep the German factual: employment situation, income, household size, move-in date, and documents you can actually provide.
